I like to write stories that are on the edge of danger and provide plenty of suspense. But, I think those stories should also be plausibly tied to the real world and allow interesting characters to develop. From me, no thrillers that are only violent, fantastic or claustrophobically psychological.  Because of my life experiences, I often choose international settings and work into the plots the tensions of cultures in conflict.

The stories I have told so far have been set in Nicaragua, Sweden,  and very different parts of the United States. They explore cultural confrontations in the Contra conflict in Central America, the political plight of Arab-Americans, the Israel-Palestine conflict, the odyssey of Ukrainian Pentecostals, and the effects of special agendas on American politics.
